Forget Iraq. Really. This might be scarier - North Korea's reactivated Yongbyon nuclear reactor can generate enough plutonium to make 10 nuclear warheads per year according to this slightly outdated FAS report. The North was also building 2 more reactors that could generate a combined 50 weapons a year until construction stopped in 1994.
Also, if reports from nuclear physicists and rocket scientists from outside the DPRK haven't convinced you that the North is run by a madman, check out these travelogues from tourists who've been on the inside: Arne Eilers, a Brit, went in mid 2002 and Simon Bone has an excellent website with pictures of the Pyongyang subway system.
