Remember when Turkey's parliament defeated a motion that would have supported Operation Iraqi Freedom? That was strike two for the AK Party. First they drop the ball on Kofi Annan's Cyprus deal, not likely to win friends in Brussels and jeopardizing Turkey's EU bid. Then the Americans find that they can operate out of Kuwait and Iraqi Kurdistan just fine. According to Al Jazeera, it's only a matter of time before the military steps in yet again...

And, China's Hu Jintao, media liberal? If China learns anything from the SARS outbreak, it should be that keeping mum about a global health crisis is a bad idea, even for a place with local propaganda boards.

And, forget all that talk of the war being driven by Israeli-American interests. Israel, at least, doesn't want to turn Iraqis into Jews. The Southern Baptists are up to their old tricks again.
