For a while I thought about going into teaching. I thought I'd do the Teach for American or the NYC Teaching Fellows thing. Or I'd go teach undergrads after getting a higher degree. I dunno, I might do that still. But then I read yet another adjunct prof's horror story. The guy might not be an adjunct anymore but he's had his share of faculty hazing. I think having a shitty office, even more than the political crap like the Ward Churchill flap, is the biggest downer in a teaching career.
